Pool Filter Sand and Filter Glass

Quartz Sand: Due to its low cost, quartz sand is the most common filter material. However, it is not homogeneous and often contains impurities, which can easily harbor unwanted bacteria.

Filter Glass: Our filter media, made from recycled glass, is significantly more efficient than even the highest-quality sand. Switching from sand to filter glass provides a spectacular improvement in the performance of your water circulation system.

Usage: High-quality filter media granules for pool equipment. This glass filter media was developed as a replacement for pool filter sand, designed for use in both gravity and pressure-operated sand filters. Our glass filter media is far more effective than traditional sand: – Provides superior water quality, – Features a smooth surface for a self-cleaning effect, – Unlike sand, it does not become contaminated with fats or lipids, and no biofilm layer forms on its surface, – Reduces the formation of trichloramines, which are harmful chlorine by-products, – Requires only half the water for backwashing compared to traditional sand filter media.
