These specialized lighting fixtures must be installed in the pool wall or steps. Different pool spotlights are required for polypropylene, ceramic, foil-lined, or concrete pools. The difference lies in the method used to ensure waterproofing: For plastic or foil-lined pools, the lamp's installation housing is fixed to the plastic or foil using a clamping flange with a rubber gasket. For concrete pools, the concrete around the installation housing must be precisely compacted to ensure it tightly surrounds the housing.
